Queen of Treasures is a curated digital magazine focused on travel, culture, wellness, world affairs, visual storytelling, intuitive practices, humour and fiction, curated by multimedia journalist and editor Ambica Gulati.
Going beyond the headlines to the oft ignored or unnoticed, Queen of Treasures is designed to make you Pause, Dream, Create.

It is guided by a simple belief: sustained attention cultivates understanding, encourages critical thinking, and helps us see the world with greater depth and curiosity.
It sparks creativity, expands imagination, and acts as a catalyst for meaningful change and growth.
The site prioritises long-form storytelling. Many pieces in the archive were originally published in print and have been updated for digital clarity, without altering their original narrative intent.
Founder & Editor
I am Ambica Gulati, a multimedia journalist, editor, writer, author, cultural storyteller, and creative facilitator. For more than two decades, I have experienced the world through travel, on-ground reporting, designing and presenting unique stories through lived experiences.
Editorial Experience
Journalism is where I learned to look closely, ask questions, listen to different perspectives, and dig into the layers until a story emerged.
I have held senior editorial roles with established publications including Outlook Traveller, Life Positive, Swagat (Air India’s inflight magazine), and The New Indian Express.
I have authored illustrated children’s books, including a six-book series on Monuments of the World, published by Om Books International. I have also contributed fiction stories to various anthologies and The Blogchatter Book of Love.
I have also led editorial projects, including CSR coffee table books, and continue to work across photography, videos, podcasts, and documentary-led formats.
Today, all the experience has evolved into a broader practice of storytelling, creativity and facilitation.

Ambica’s work has been featured and recognised across platforms and borders, including:

Beyond My Laptop
When I’m not writing, researching or creating workshops or articles, you’ll find me birding, reading, practising yoga, photographing, searching for a new sound and motion experience, or following a trail of curiosity somewhere unexpected. I also love reading oracle cards and delving into creative practices that unlock new avenues of growth.
The Editorial Pillars of Queen of Treasures
1. Travel & Photography
Eco-conscious travel, heritage narratives, visual guides
Travel is approached as an act of deep experience. Through immersive narratives and photographic essays, places are explored as living archives shaped by memory, ecology and community.
2. Wellness & Intuition
Mindfulness, emotional health, consciousness, intuitive practices
This section draws on contemplative and intuitive traditions to examine inner life without prescription or spectacle. Healing is treated as layered, personal and inseparable from context and culture.
3. Culture & Global Affairs
Books, fiction, cinema, the arts, global perspectives
From geopolitics and diplomacy to literature, cinema and contemporary culture, the magazine explores how stories shape power, identity and belonging. Essays and reviews prioritise context over reaction and analysis over opinion.
4. Big World, Small Stories
Small stories. Larger questions.
This is where the pieces that refuse to fit neatly into a box find a home.
Big World, Small Stories brings together curiosity, humour, observations, learnings, encounters and the occasional sideways look at life. Short stories, microfiction, cultural quirks and unexpected connections sit alongside the questions they provoke.
