What is Queen of Treasures all about?
Queen of Treasures is an independent cultural magazine shaped by journalism, travel, storytelling and a lifelong curiosity about people and the world. I call it Slow Journalism: stories and ideas that invite you to pause, look closer and think beyond the headline. Slow equals attentiveness, and thereby more productivity.
Who is the founder of Queen of Treasures?
Meet the founder and editor Ambica Gulati. My work has evolved over more than two decades, from journalism and editing to travel writing, photography, books and multimedia storytelling.
I am a curious, unsettled person who looks at the oft unnoticed aspects, things that lie hidden in plain sight. My desire is to be a spy, an intelligence officer or a detective. But here am I, a tortoise, and nature lover who love journaling, meditating, practicing yoga, oracle cards and birding.
Who is the queen here and what treasures does she have?
The Queen here is our planet and the cosmos it is surrounded by, the million galaxies. The Treasures she holds lie right in front of our eyes: Nature, Us humans, Flora, Fauna and the interconnected web of life.
What is the idea that brought Queen of Treasures to life?
We firmly believe that life needs to be lived, not rushed through. And to find your treasure, you need to cross different aspects of life. These aspects are stories that live within and around us. We find those stories, lived experiences, and share them here.
And through the knowledge of these lived experiences, we hope that you will create your own stories.
Our vision is to create a harmonious and intelligent world through the philosophy of:

How do we navigate through Queen of Treasures?
It is fairly easy. My work is divided into four pillars:
1. Travel & Photography: Journeys, heritage, landscapes and places remembered through a journalist’s eye. Discover destination collections, along with stories from India and beyond.

My new series, Big World, Small Stories breaks away from the traditional fold.
