Xanthic Tones in Pictures

Used as an adjective, it means ‘of or relating to a yellow or yellowish colour’.

The color “xanthic” is derived from “xantho” (meaning yellow or golden), from the Ancient Greek ξανθός and “ic” (meaning of or pertaining to), from the Ancient Greek adjectival suffix -ικός.

Yellow arouses many emotions. It is Energetic, Aggressive, Complex, Cheerful.  Here are the manyxanthic shades I captured over the years, across India.

  1. Yellow is one such color which makes any person look beautiful/handsome. Yellow for me is positivity, it may sound silly but my son looks the best in yellow outfits. By the way I was not aware Ambica that you are a great photographer too. Just loved your captures behind the lens.
